Level 1 Guidance

These activities and sources of information are known to help people understand their illness and make them less threatening and disabling.  For all common mental health problems we know that there is evidence that making some changes in a person’s lifestyle can help. Exercise either walking or sport or attendance at a gym can have beneficial effects on people’s mood and symptoms. Likewise we also know that being involved in activities such as gardening, arts groups, support groups can beneficial. That is the reason for including some of these activities in the list.

 Access to information for all mental health services available in Oldham district. There is also Signposting Advice, support into Volunteering, Befriending and Employment . Access to Internet, Psychonetic Education, Teaching facilities,  Support for emerging group, Connected Arts group
